Next Friday, January 6th I'll be having a showdown with the
Big C and a double mastectomy - Courage with a capital 'C!' Mustering all that I can, keeping my sense of humor yet confronting this surgery with all my might, I hope to earn my medal of honor, walk laps around the nurses station and return to a better version of myself. I have a phenomenal, medical 'Healing Dream Team' behind me but even more importantly, I have the love and friendship from so many. This in and of itself will fuel my soul and bring me to an even brighter side of life.
